Q: What is included in the package deal price?

Your price includes delivery (Miami-Dade, Broward County or Palm Beach County Only), Monroe County is at an additional fee depending on the key you live in, install, leveling, and hurricane tie-down is also included in the package deal price.

Q: Is a crane included in the price, if I need one?

No, A crane service is a third party service and Shed Depot does not supply the crane service if you are in the need of a crane due to the inaccessibility into your yard. But, we can help you acquire one if you need our help in finding you one or you can hire one on your own.

Q: Will I need a permit to have a building installed in my yard?

Yes, Check with your local municipality and also for any deed restrictions. Permits are required by most municipalities. Shed Depot will furnish you with our manufactures NOA’s documentation to help get your permitting path started.(Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) are set forth by Miami-Dade county for all construction trades). If you are in doubt please call your permitting department for more details.

Q: Is the permit included in the fees Shed Depot offers?

No, You (as the owner of the property) would need to go to the Permitting Department in your city/county and bring with you a copy of your survey and the NOA’s we supply you. You will also need to fill out an application stating the type of permit you are requesting.

Q: How do I know if the building is built up to code?

State law requires state approval and state insignia for permitting portable buildings within Florida is affixed onto each building for identification. (State of Florida, DBPR, Manufactured Buildings: Lark Builders. ID MFT – 113, Chapter 553, Part 1, Florida Statutes; Max size of 720 sf.) The sticker is affixed inside the building right next to our manufacturer label.

Q: Are all buildings built to the same standards and wind loads?

‘NO’ – check the wind load and floor live load stated inside each building. Our standard building’s wind load capacity is 189 .Some areas in Florida like Monroe County require the buildings to be built with a 200+ wind load capacity in order for them to be approved for a permit.These buildings are built with 16 inch center. We are the only shed company in the state of Florida that has these Certified & State Approved NOA’s.

Q: Do I need a concrete slab?

No – the floor/deck/skid system coupled with the block/anchor system eliminates the need and cost of a slab.

Q: How wide do I need to make my concrete slab, if I desire to add one?

Make your concrete slab 1 foot (12 inches) bigger than your building all the way around.

Q: Is the color of the building at an additional price?

There are a variety of colors that are included in the package deal price. You can choose your base and trims by doing different combinations like with grays, creams, beiges etc. Some colors like the reds, blacks, browns etc. are at an additional fee. Our roof colors, other than the Galvanized are at an additional price. Please see color chart for further information.

Q: What accessories and/or items can I add to my building?

You can add a loft/shelving for storage or a work bench, you can add insulation to the roof and or walls, an a/c cut out, vents, change the roof type from a lapsider to a boxeave or a hip roof, add an overhang to your building will give it a cute house look, add a roll-up door, a bigger side door, add a 9-light or window to your door, add a porch to the front of your structure, add 8ft walls to your building, recess holes or electrical wiring, small or large windows. You can also bring your own windows and doors and we will install them on your building for you.

Q: What Sizes Do You Have Available? or Custom Make?

We have many different sizes available on the floor. If we don’t have the size you need, we can make it for you. Please see our basic standard sizes below:

Q: What are your prices for the sheds? Can you give me a quote over the phone?

We value your consideration and time in calling us and requesting a price or have questions that you would like answered right away but, due to our policy we will not be able to give you any quotes over the phone. We would love for you to come into one of our stores and see the quality of our product as well as getting all your questions answered right away. We have several questions we need for you to answer before we can come to a conclusion on giving you a final quote. Over the phone, you will not be able to fully get the perfect customer service you deserve and /or appreciate the feel of the product you are looking to invest in.
